U.S. Senate candidate Mark Warner raised $2,928,572 in the Federal Election Commission (FEC) quarter ending June 30, 2008.
More than 81% (7,170) of the individual donors during the 2nd quarter were Virginia residents. The 2nd quarter featured a significant Warner campaign TV advertising buy, and the campaign committee ended the quarter with approximately $5.1 million cash-on-hand.
“We are grateful that so many Virginians are actively supporting Governor Warner’s campaign to take his record of honest, common-sense results to Washington,” said Warner campaign spokesman Kevin Hall. “Governor Warner has a proven record of bringing people together to make real change, and that is the type of responsible, bipartisan leadership that Virginians want to see in Congress.”
Previously, the Governor’s campaign committee reported raising $2.5 million in the FEC’s 1st Quarter ending March 31st, 2008, $2.7 million in the 4th quarter of 2007, and $1.1 million during the two-week period in the 3rd quarter of 2007 in which Warner was an active U.S. Senate candidate.
