Rosie Riveters, a local non-profit, and local restaurant group Alexandria Restaurant Partners have partnered to offer a STEM program for 443 students at Lyles-Crouch Traditional Academy, according to a news release.
The program offers students in kindergarten through fifth grade a chance to learn STEM while in virtual school. Each student will be delivered a hands-on STEM building kit and receive lessons from Rosie Riveter and Lyles-Crouch instructors, according to the release.
The two organizations aim to bring STEM programming to a second Alexandria public school by 2022 and will continue to offer the programing to Lyles-Crouch in fall 2021, according to the release.
