Burglars broke into Shooter McGees restaurant overnight August 29, but apparently left empty handed, authorities say. 

An unidentified suspect smashed the 5200 block Duke St. eaterys glass door before gaining entry about 4:19 a.m., according to Ashley Hildebrandt, city police department spokeswoman. 

Nothing was taken, she said. There were no witnesses and police do not have surveillance footage of the break-in. The incident remains under investigation.
