A pair of muggers left a pedestrian with minor injuries after attacking her on the corner of Armistead and Beauregard streets while she made her way home from a friends house.

The two men approached her from behind about 6:57 a.m. August 16, punched her in the face, stomped on her and then kicked her in the back before stealing her purse, Alexandria police said. Valuables in hand, the duo later fled on foot. 

The victim did not know her attackers. 

There were no other witnesses to the incident, said Ashley Hildebrandt, department spokeswoman. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation, she said.
