Eight-year-old Skylar Camerlink performs a solo at the corner of King and Union streets Monday morning during a small fundraiser to benefit earthquake victims in Haiti. Camerlink, one of the 14 young violinists from the Suzuki Violin Center performing for passers-by, soaked up some unseasonably warm sunshine as the group eventually raised $550 in the impromptu concert. That amount will be matched by the Washington Street Preschool for a total donation of $1,100 to the Red Cross.
