The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that took place at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday night.
According to police, a 22-year-old woman was walking home from the King Street Metro Station when a man with a box-cutter grabbed her and forced her into an alley where he sexually assaulted her.
Police said the suspect, still at large, is a black male with facial acne.
The box cutter did not injure the victim during the sexual assault, a police spokesman said.
The women was not injured by the box cutter.
