While the T.C. Williams Titans have been reacquainted with the field hockey pitch for several weeks, the city’s private high schools are still gearing up for their regular season starts.
Coming off a disappointing season that saw the Saints go 10-10 and lose to rival Episcopal in the Independent School League championship, St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes will return to the pitch with their eyes on local and state titles with a game against Stone Ridge at 4:15 p.m. September 8.
For their part, Episcopal is looking forward to a repeat of last year’s success. They face Potomac in their 4:15 p.m. season opener on September 10.
After coming out of a successful local tournament with a win over Yorktown, T.C. is now headed to Herndon. The two teams are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. September 7 matchup, after the Times’ deadline.
