While cross-town rivals T.C. Williams and Bishop Ireton have already begun their 2011 football seasons, the St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Saints have a few more days to prepare before opening against St. Christopher’s.
The Saints will tackle the rival Saints squad at home on September 10 for a scheduled 1:30 p.m. start. Following the battle of the Saints, St. Stephen’s heads across down the street to face Bishop Ireton in a crosstown matchup on September 17.
The city’s fourth high school, Episcopal, begins their season midway through the month, with their first matchup scheduled against Flint Hill at 1 p.m. September 17. The Maroon face Ireton on September 24 and then St. Stephen’s in mid-October.
