A burglar broke into St. Pauls Episcopal Church late last month and made off with a roll of stamps and coins, police say.
Authorities do not know how or when the burglar got into the 200 block S. Pitt St. church, only that the church was closed when the suspect struck. The break-in was reported about 8:17 a.m., April 27.
The exact amount of change stolen is not known, said department spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt. They do not have a description of the suspect, she said.
