A member of Bradys Michigan Sharpshooters, a re-enactment group based in the Washington area, leads a discussion of Civil War tactics, history and weaponry at Fort Ward Park on Saturday.
The re-enactors real-life counterparts were created by the War Department in 1861, fighting at most of the Army of the Potomacs major engagements, including Gettysburg and Chancellorsville.
Members of the re-enactment group set up camp, displayed the units custom rifles and scopes and performed live shooting drills for onlookers at the former fort.
