Six weeks into the season and the T.C. Williams football squad still doesnt know the definition of a close game, pulling in a 31-10 victory over the Annandale Atoms.
The now 3-3 Titans went without senior quarterback Doug Murphy (concussion) yet again, but sophomore Alex Grosser made few mistakes behind the center.
Hes a work in progress, said Titans head coach Dennis Randolph. Hes very level headed and made some good decisions. Hes getting some more confidence and is putting some trust in his receivers.
Particularly senior wide-out Tyrell Sitton. The 6-foot tall receiver had his basketball skills on display off court, vaulting over defenders for two mid-air touchdown receptions Saturday.
The win puts T.C. 2-1 in AAA Patriot conference play. The Titans face W.T. Woodson October 15 at 7:30 p.m.
