Police are investigating whether three morning smash and grabs involving vehicles parked along the 4800 block of Eisenhower Ave., December 2 are connected.
About 6:45 a.m., unknown suspects shattered the right rear triangular window of a parked vehicle and stole a North Face fleece jacket from the back seat. An hour later, vandals hit another parked vehicle, smashing the left side window of a lift gate and stole Christmas presents, including a GPS unit.
About 9:01 a.m. the back window of yet another parked and locked vehicle was reported broken.
Authorities recommend holiday shoppers place gifts in their vehicles trunk, keeping them out of sight, lock their vehicles and stay aware of their surroundings. Recent purchases should always be kept in sight, police said.
