The silver-gray Nissan Altima that belonged to 24-year old Juantissa Hill and went missing around the time she was killed in her Van Dorn Street apartment last Tuesday has been found, according to Alexandria Police.
We did find the car but thats the only update we have, said Alexandria Police Public Information Officer Ashley Hildebrandt.
The car could have ties to a suspect, but police would not comment on where they found the car or the results of the autopsy that was performed on Hill, a Detroit native.
It is a homicide but thats all we have about the cause of death at this point, Hildebrandt said. Were not sure what information is important and whats not so were remaining tight lipped about it until we figure out what we need.
Hildebrandt did confirm that Alexandria Police are not working with other jurisdictions on the matter, although the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) offered to assist in the case. Hill worked in the Pentagons Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
Hills murder is the fourth in the city this year. Police would not comment on a motive or suspect revolving around the homicide, described by police last week as violent.
Any one with information is urged to contact the Alexandria Police Department at 703-838-4711 or 703-838-4444.
