A woman walking near the 1400 block of N. Beauregard St. was left unconscious after a white woman leapt out of a passing van and struck her head.

The woman was standing alone at 3:25 a.m. after getting into a fight with her boyfriend while walking down the street, police said. A gray van pulled up beside her and the unidentified woman jumped out and punched her, knocking her unconscious, officials said. 

Three other women waited in the van, which police believe may have been a Ford. 

As the boyfriend ran back, the woman, described as having long blonde hair and wearing a red shirt, took the victims purse and shoes before fleeing, said Jody Donaldson, department spokesman. 

The victim was not seriously injured, he said.
