To the editor:
In the Out Of The Attic section of the Alexandria Times of October 1-7, 2009, the Mitford sisters of Britain were referred to as infamous. What nonsense. If the writer of the article had taken the time to do serious historical research about these sisters Nancy, Unity, Jessica and Diana he or she would have discovered that they were talented, responsible, imaginative and unusually gifted. The sweeping negative generalization of the word infamous was extremely inaccurate.
