Thumbs down to the recent robbery at a local toy store on Tuesday. This incident is even more disturbing given that the suspect was armed with a knife and bound the store clerk while he proceeded to rob the cash register. But perhaps the most perplexing and alarming aspect of this story is that someone is willing to rob a local toy store in order to make a quick buck.

Thumbs up to those who participated in Alexandrias Memorial Day ceremony at the Rocky Versace plaza on Monday. While that memorial specifically honors Alexandrians who died in the Vietnam War, it was a day to remember all who have died protecting us.
