At an August 1 debate before the Alexandria Democratic Committee, Adam Ebbin demonstrated that he is the candidate with both the experience and the statesmanship to be effective as the next state senator from the 30th District. 

Throughout the evening, he repeatedly answered questions directly, frequently mentioning specific legislation he had already passed to address concerns, and added some very effective humor. He received overwhelming applause after his powerful closing remarks. Moreover, a column in this publication stated Mr. Ebbin “sent it out of the park.”

After eight years in the General Assembly Mr. Ebbin understands what works in Richmond. As our next senator, he wont be starting from scratch. On day one, hell start moving legislation and working with the many legislators he already knows to get things done for the 30th. Indeed, The Washington Post said Mr. Ebbin is “well respected, substantive, and effective,” and “would make a great senator.” We agree. 

We urge you to join us and come out and vote for Mr. Ebbin on Tuesday, August 23, or come down to City Hall and vote early if you expect to be away that day. 

Mr. Ebbin stands with our progressive values. Let’s stand with him. Our voice and our vote can make a difference.
