To the editor:

As Alexandria voters head to the polls for Election Day on Nov. 2, I hope you will join me, and other Democrats, in supporting Darryl Nirenberg for City Council.

Darryl has run a totally positive campaign focused on the issues – fixing our flooding problems, keeping our kids safe at school, managing density, preserving green space and listening to civic associations.

Instead of calling people out, he has called people in.

Darryl’s rational, respectful approach to running our local government is just what we need right now in these challenging times. The city has not only followed his lead and established a stormwater czar, as he proposed from the campaign trail, it has also just temporarily reinstated school resource officers in our public schools.

Please help elect Darry Nirenberg to council. He is a hard worker who will bring the rational voice – and views – that we need at city hall.
