Alexandria still has some streams. To the extent Taylor Run is one, the current debate is better cast as whether it will be a stream or an open storm sewer. I’m for stream.

It is difficult to make up now for past failure to deal with excess runoff caused by replacement of natural surfaces with impervious surfaces. More severe storms compound the problem. But our small areas that capture any taste of nature within this urban space are of very high value and must be preserved. Channelization of Taylor Run is wrong.
