On behalf of Friends of Rocky Versace, I would like to thank you for your articles in the last two weekly issues of the Alexandria Times mentioning the ceremony at the Versace Plaza, and for your reporting on the Memorial Day event. Those were great pictures!

The Friends of Rocky Versace depend upon coverage such as yours to reach out to the families and friends of the 67 men whose names are on Alexandrias Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It lets them know that their loved ones are not forgotten.

There are 67 individual stories to tell about those men whose names are chiseled into the stone benches at the Plaza. Sadly, with most of the men, not much is known about each – as evidenced by the fact that Friends of Rocky Versace only have individual pictures of approximately 30 percent of these men who made the ultimate sacrifice.
