Their final game of the regular season postponed due to dreary weather, the struggling Bishop Ireton Cardinals turn their attention to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament.
The Cardinals were expected to play Bishop OConnell Wednesday to cap off a listless season for the Ireton squad. With a 5-17 overall record, the Cardinals are winless in conference play and at the bottom of the WCAC standings.
The struggling Ireton players have not won a game since March 26, when they snuck by Covenant in a 10-9 victory, a dearth lasting through all of April.
The Cardinals begin tournament play against an as yet undetermined opponent on May 7.
