With three straight losses to Patriot District foes last week, the T.C. WILLIAMS Titans (8-9 overall, 3-8 in conference play) remain locked out of the top half of the league standings in fifth place behind perennial powers West Springfield, South County and Lake Braddock and newcomer W.T. Woodson.

After their 15-0 demolition of Lee on April 28, the Titans dropped lopsided games against Woodson, 15-5, and West Springfield, 11-1, as well as last Tuesday night’s scoreless attempt against South County in an 11-0 loss. Their regular season comes to a close in the next week with games against Annandale, West Potomac and Lake Braddock that will cement their position going into the postseason.

Despite stringing together seven losses in a row, ST. STEPHEN’S / ST. AGNES (6-12, 4-5) remained fourth in the Interstate Athletic Conference after Tuesday’s loss to league-best St. Albans.

The Saints’ current skid includes five losses to IAC competition, weighing down their gleaming 4-0 start to league play. They close out the regular season today against St. Albans and look to defend their title in the conference tournament beginning Tuesday.

EPISCOPAL (4-12, 1-8) sits one place behind the Saints and are fifth in the IAC with one regular season game remaining today against Landon. The Maroon dropped both of their games last week, losing 10-0 to St. Albans on Thursday and 4-2 to Landon on Tuesday.

Last week turned out to be one of the best of the season for BISHOP IRETON (3-19, 1-13). The Cardinals beat St. Mary’s Ryken 8-5 on Saturday for their first win since April 3. Ireton lost their other two games last week narrowly against Paul VI and St. John’s, both by a scoreline of 3-1.

Last place in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, the Cardinals close out the regular season this week with games against Bishop McNamara and Bishop O’Connell.
