Despite winning four of their first five games, Bishop Ireton has fallen on hard times, losing four of their last five appearances on the diamond.
The 5-6 Cardinals fell narrowly in a defensive, 2-1 loss to Paul VI Catholic April 1 and the slump continued with a 11-0 blowout at the hands of Flint Hill three days later. The last time Ireton celebrated a win was after squeaking by Covenant in a 10-9 offensive duel.
The Cardinals look to right their ship with a win over St. Johns Thursday night.
