After jumping to a first half lead, the T.C. Williams Lady Titans couldnt put the finishing touches on what might have been a Patriot District playoff lacrosse upset.
Instead, the T.C. squad left the field after a disheartening 13-10 loss to West Springfield. The Spartans roared back after a 7-3 halftime deficit to score 10 goals against an overpowered Titan defense. A last ditch West Springfield push on the net earned the Spartans three late goals, ending the Titans season.
When the two teams met during the regular season, the Spartans came away with an 18-5 victory.
The 5-7 Titans end the season ranked No. 40 in the commonwealth by LaxPower.com. They were No. 36 in goals scored and No. 66 in goals allowed.
