After drubbing a nationally ranked Bishop Ireton squad to start the 2011 season, the St. Stephens and St. Agnes Saints were handed their first loss of the campaign by Bryn Mawr.
Sophomore attacker Carly Reed led the Saints girls varsity team in scoring, racking up 6 goals during play, but it wasnt enough to overcome Bryn Mawr. The Baltimore school came away with a 16-11 win.
Despite the loss, the 1-1 St. Stephens squad remains the top-ranked girls lacrosse program in the state, according to ESPN Rise. They face Highland Park at 4:30 p.m., March 24.
