Staring at a chance to earn their first victory of the season, the St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes Saints came up short against St. James December 17.

The rival squad led from the beginning, putting up 21 points to the Saints’ 11 in the first quarter. Heading into the locker room at the half, St. Stephen’s was looking at a 15-point deficit.

Though the 0-3 Saints fought back in the second half, scoring 35 points, it wasn’t enough to overcome St. James’ offensive prowess. They left the court with the final score 79-59 in St. James’ favor.

The Saints head to the Wakefield Tournament December 27 before taking a few days off to prepare for their January 6 matchup with local powerhouse Episcopal.
