Former Ace signs pro contract

The Alexandria Aces announced last week that former pitcher Kyle Bradley (Rutgers) signed a professional baseball contract with the Pittsfield Colonials of the independent Can-Am League.

Bradley, a 6-foot-4 right-hander from New Jersey, is the third former Aces pitcher to sign a professional contract in 2010. Another member of the inaugural 2008 Alexandria squad, Cody Walden (Armstrong Atlantic 10) signed with his hometown Tucson Toros of the independent Golden Baseball League. Justin Mazur (Wayne State), a right-handed pitcher for the Aces last year, signed with the Kansas City Royals earlier this year and is currently assigned to the Burlington (N.C.) Royals of the Appalachian League.
