St. Stephens and St. Agnes Danielle Williams was a three-time state champion Saturday at the VISAA Championships in Richmond, winning the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash and running on the Saints first place 4×100-meter relay team. In the 200, Williams set a VISAA state record with a time of 25.26 seconds. She later teamed up with Mya Reid, Laruen Martin and Briana Richardson for the relay victory.

The relay team, too, won in a VISAA record and school record time of 49.49 seconds. This time also qualified them for the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. in June. St. Stephens finished 8th overall as a team.
