More fashion courage at Great Meadow

Seersucker, madras, and embroidery all around dotted the perfect green grass in the hot summer sun and later under ominous cloud cover at The Plains, Va.

The City Tavern Clubs tent was the place to relax in style with a full bar and the most delicious grilled and charred sausage, shrimp, and salmon of the summer. The ever charming and hospitable hands of Steve Andronico, GM of CTC, kept his hungry and attractive guests hydrated and happy right until the rains rolled into Great Meadows.

In the VIP tent the hot and hip downed champagne cocktails, bloody marys and good old fashioned screw drivers. The chilled asparagus soup shooters by R&R Catering were top notch. The pulled pork was nothing short of piggylicious.

Hats got plenty of attention as a fashion YES! Generous brims served as great sun stoppers and conversation starters while stomping divots on the field, but a chapeaux made it tough to beat the heat under the tents with no cross ventilation.

Summer associates from local law firms laughed with good spirit at their inability to master the art of Segway driving during the Segway Polo Charity Challenge match before the first chukker.

An all ladies polo team was just as attractive off the field in pink and white uniforms as on the stately ponies during the match.

Funds raised at the Courage Cup support youth programs including Inner City Outings in Washington, DC.
