We adopted Dana as a frightened one-year-old kitty from a local shelter, and for the past nine years she has enriched our home. She is equal parts curiosity and sweetness, and she is my shadow whenever Im at home, following me from room to room. I had to put a towel-lined box on my desk for her to sleep in while I use my computer–otherwise, she would try to curl up in my lap or on the keyboard. In this photo, she is doing one of her favorite things: curling up on our clothing on laundry day.
