Virginia House Joint Resolution 27 designates February 14, 2008 and each succeeding year as Valentines Virginia Day in the state. 

The Valentines, Va. Post Office is known for its famous Valentines Post mark.  People all over the country send their Valentines Cards to have them post marked with the special stamp. 

Individuals can apply postage to Valentines cards and forward them in one package to the post office, which places the special postmark on the cards and then mails them.
